What is Activ8orr Online and In-Person Training?
I help people lose weight, and maintain their goal weight, by building strong relationships around food and exercise through effective online coaching and personal training.

Whether your goal is to lose weight, complete a race, or simply walk the dog without feeling like you've run a marathon, I can help! My training is focused around those new or returning to exercise, who want to gain confidence, and create healthy habits that last a lifetime.
How is Activ8orr Online Training Different From Doing It Myself?
You can train by yourself, but at the end of the day, who is keeping you accountable? Who is supporting you on the days you don't feel like exercising? If you're not getting the results you desire, how will you know what to change and how will you change it? That's where I come in. I know how to keep you motivated and self-disciplined to keep striving for your goal.
You could sign-up with someone else that promise you’ll lose x weight in x weeks. And that’s great. It may be cheaper… it may be a generic plan… it may work for you….But do you still want to be your goal weight a year from now? Two years from now? I’d be saying ‘YES’! Do you want to stop yo-yo dieting? Do you want to enjoy your exercise, and not endure it? I look to build workouts that not only lead you to your goal, but also educate, to improve your mindset, make you accountable, and let you drive the outcome.
Whilst I will be here to advise you, and set your workouts, I don't tell you what to do all the time, but I coach you into making the right decisions for your goal, so you feel empowered and confident to take action toward your goal. You set your goals. You need to do the work to get those goals achieved. I am here to back you and support you ALL the way.
How is Activ8orr Online Coaching Different From Finding A Free Workout Online?
I don't offer single workout programs, I offer an online training service. I am helping you achieve your weight loss goals in the most effective way possible through the strategies outlined above. Free cookie cutter workouts found online are fine, but do they know your health history? Do they know you have niggling shoulder pain or that your knee gets sore when you squat? That's where I come in. I answer the burning questions you have about training and eating.
Do I need to be a member of a gym?
No, you don’t need to be a member of a gym. When I create your customized workout plan, I’ll design it around where you’ll be working out and the specific equipment you have access to.
If you want to work out at a regular gym, I’ll design it that way. If you’d rather work out at home, I’ll put together a workout that can be done there instead.
If your lifestyle has you at the gym once or twice a week only, we can develop a combination of home and gym workouts. You drive the results.
Is this suitable for beginners?
Both online and in-person training is suitable for all levels of experience – from complete beginners all the way up to more advanced endurance athletes.
After signing up and filling out your initial questionnaire, I will use that information to put together a workout plan that is appropriate for you.
If you’re a beginner, I’m going to help you get started with a bang and see fast results. And if you’re an endurance athlete, I’ll help you get to the next level.
Am I too old for this program?
Nope. I work with clients of all ages, and have helped people who have never worked out before get into great shape.
You are never too old to be the best version of yourself, and I will work with you to make sure that this becomes a reality.
Do you work with men and women?
I have no gender bias, and whilst my core clients are predominately female, I am happy to work with anyone that is committed to getting into shape and improving their fitness.
Do I need to live in the United Kingdom?
For online training - no, you certainly don’t – I can work with people from all over the world*.
One of the great things about online personal training is that you can work with me no matter where you are located, and entirely on your time schedule.
For in-person and hybrid training – yes you do need to live within the Royal Borough of Greenwich, London.
* Due to insurance constraints with online training USA and Canada are excluded….

What if I travel frequently?
For clients with jobs that require them to travel, it makes online personal training an ideal fit for them.
I will be happy to put together alternative workouts for you to follow when travelling, so that you can stick to your routine and continue making steady progress.
How customized is this training program?
The training programs are entirely customized for each client. I am not in the business of offering cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all workouts or diets.
After you sign up, you’ll fill out a detailed consultation form about your fitness goals, level of experience, workout and diet preferences, physical limitations, and more.
I will then use all of this information to put together a workout specific for you. If you are looking at improving your nutrition we will also develop a plan that’s perfectly tailored for you.
How do I learn how to do each exercise?
For in-person training, I will always demonstrate and give you point-by-point instruction.
For online training, to make sure you’re doing all of the exercises in your workouts correctly, there will be step-by-step instructions and demonstration videos for every exercise in your plan.
You can view these instructions and videos any time directly in the mobile training app.
How will you correct my exercise form?
Having good form when working out is extremely important – both for injury prevention and for making good progress.
For online/ hybrid training, to make sure your form is perfect, I’ll ask you to periodically record videos of yourself doing your main exercises. You’ll then just send these back to me which I’ll review and offer feedback in our next check-in call.
For in-person training, I will always be watching and monitoring, and will provide constant feedback on how you are doing.
I have an injury. Is this still for me?
While being injured can certainly impact how you work out, I will do my best to design a program around your injury.
However, without knowing the exact nature of your injury, it would be impossible to say for sure. If you’re in doubt, feel free to contact me, and we can discuss the best way forward.
How can I eat my favourite foods and lose fat?
Restrictive diets generally fail. No one wants to eat foods they dislike, while never getting to enjoy the foods they love.
Nutrition advice is based around educating, and making considered choices. We all have our ‘kryptonite’. The trick is to work in some of your favourite foods, without negatively impacting your results. Yes, it is possible to enjoy your favourite foods and still be in great shape.
Can I still drink alcohol?
I will never tell you NOT to eat or drink something. It will always be your choice. Nutrition advice is based around educating, and making considered choices. If you want to enjoy a beer, or a glass of white wine, then go right ahead. Enjoy it! Moderation and balance is key.
How do I track my food intake?
I recommend MyFitnessPal available for iOS and Android. It provides a standard benchmark to track, and provides macro (carbohydrates, protein, fat) breakdowns, and most importantly is easy to use.
Is my trainer a real person?
Yes, I am absolutely real, and you’ll get to know me very well. I will be working with you closely to help you get to your goals and help you overcome any challenges along the way. Find out more ABOUT ME.....
How do I contact you to ask a question?
You’ll be able to message me at any time directly through our mobile training app, or using email if you prefer.
How quickly will you get back to me?
For messages, you shouldn’t have to wait more than 24 hours for a response to a question, excluding weekends and holidays.
For emails, unless urgent, I respond weekly on a Wednesday. This enables me to manage my scheduling, and provide the best support to all my clients
How often will you check in with me?
Having frequent contact with you is important to keep things accountable, and to ensure that you are making consistent progress each week.
There will be a regular check in call, dependent on your plan, when we will do a review of how everything went with your workouts and diet, give you specific recommendations for the week ahead, and make modifications to your plans where appropriate.
With online training, how do I check in with you?
You’ll be able to message me at any time directly through our mobile training app, or using email if you prefer.
We will also book in a regular check in call to discuss your program, any major upcoming events, or any injury concerns.
With online/ hybrid training, how will you monitor my workouts?
You’ll be logging each of your workouts in the mobile training app.
This will let us see exactly what you did for each workout – and how you’re improving week by week.
How will you measure my progress?
Together, we will measure your progress in a variety of different ways, including changes in:
- Your strength levels
- Your weight
- Your body measurements (waist, hips, etc)
- Your fitness levels (via fitness assessments)
In addition, you’ll be taking regular progress photos, kept private between us, so you’ll be able to clearly see all of the visual improvements you’re making!
How long before I see results?
That depends on your specific goals – but I’m fully committed to helping you reach those goals in the least amount of time.
You’ll be happy to know that most of my clients who follow their plans see consistent results month after month, and you should too!
How does the free trial work (if it is currently available*)?
The free trial allows you to try out the online personal training program risk-free to make sure that it’s a good fit for you. This includes getting started with your workout, which I will put together for you once you sign up.
* Free trial is only available at certain times.
What is your cancellation policy?
Whilst I do not ordinarily offer cancellation or refunds on a current package, cancellation is available due to a life-changing event, such as job re-location; serious illness; bereavement; pregnancy; moving abroad etc. Email notice should be provided at least two weeks in advance and there will be no refund due for that period. Please email activ8orr@gmail to request any early termination to a current package, and apply for any applicable refund.
Can I suspend my package?
You can request to suspend your account for a two week block. You have a maximum of ONE two-week suspension within a three month training package. Email notice must be provided at least two weeks ahead of required suspension period to [email protected]. The time will be credited at the end of your current package.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment is through a third party processor (such as PayPal/ Stripe) or via direct bank transfer. Unfortunately, I do not accept cash or cheques.
What currency do I need to pay?
Payment is quoted and paid in British Pounds (GBP). If you are paying in a different currency, you may need to pay cross currency fees. Please check with your local bank/ card services before signing up.
What steps do you take to secure my data?
Activ8orr employs industry-standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) encryption measures for all data exchanged between clients and the website. For more information, please refer to the Privacy Policy.
Do I need to purchase any equipment?
Initially no equipment is needed. However if you are working out only at home, as you get stronger, it may be ideal to invest in some bands, dumbbells or kettlebells. We will monitor your progress and I will recommend accordingly.
Do I need to download any software?
If you are signing up for the Online or Hybrid packages, you will need to download the mobile training application. You will need a mobile phone. I also recommend MyFitnessPal for nutrition tracking, and Happy Scale for weight tracking. These are all free to use apps and work on both iOS and Android. Full instructions will be sent once you sign up.
